Karen is a young, local artist who works in the medium of collage. She studied at Aberdeen College, gaining a HNC in Art & Design in 2001 and graduated with first class honours from Gray's School of Art in 2006. Since graduating she has won many awards and participated in many solo and group exhibitions and is becoming a prominent figure in the North East.

Karen has always been interested in architectural shapes and structures and often produces structural compositions inspired by our everyday environments. Karen loves to use collage to produce images with added depth and space whilst creating surprise and confusion through the use of recycled and everyday materials built up on the canvas.
